HEWKO, Gary Joseph
March 26, 1959 — December 1, 2018
Gary Joseph Hewko, born March 26, 1959, left us suddenly on Saturday, December 1, 2018.
Gary was many different things throughout his life. He started playing hockey in his early teens, became a qualified chef, had his own business and worked in the gravel industry to name a few of those things. From an early age Gary had a love of horses and loved being on the farm. He always had a story or two to share about some event in his life. There was never a dull moment.
Gary will be remembered and missed by his 2 boys Josiah and Nolan, his mother Florence, sister Fran (Bob), brother Greg (Corbie), several nieces and nephews, many aunts and cousins and extended family. He was predeceased by his dad Joseph in May 2007.
A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Sindi Ahluwalia Hawkins Cancer Centre, www.bccancer.bc.ca.
