Helen Doris Weddell (Donaldson)
Helen passed away at St. Mary’s Hospital on November 27, 2018. Dear mother of Darryl (Crystal) of Edmonton, Allyson Scott of Cambridge, and Aaron (Catherine) of Guelph. Loving grandmother to Logan, Jocelyn, and Carter Holmes, and Kristen and Andrew Grieve and great grandmother to Ethan and Emmie Grieve. Helen worshipped her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and enjoyed every minute with them. Helen was predeceased by her parents Charles and Irene Donaldson, her sister Betty Sutton and her three brothers, Ron, Murray, and Duane. Helen has left two sisters, Linda Spence (George), of Sarnia, and Brenda Nimmo (Lachlan) of Orangeville and one brother Ken Donaldson (Marg) of Alberta, sisters in law Carol, Susan and Dell.
Helen worked at the Cambridge Memorial Hospital for 24 years in the Pharmacy Department where she made many friends. After retiring from the hospital she worked at Sam’s Club and Lotteries. She loved dancing and made many long time friends at the dances. Helen lived at St. Peter’s Place and loved her time there and had many fond memories with her many friends.
Cremation with entombment has taken place at New Hope Cemetery, Hespeler. Those who wish, may make a memorial donation to either St. Mary’s Hospital (Kitchener) or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario.
