Obituary for Harold Cook
Cook, Harold John “Jack” – Surrounded by his family, in his 91st year, Jack passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital. Beloved husband of the late Agnes Marguerite Cook (2017) for over 68 years. Loving father of Gordon (Sharon) Cook, Janice (Earl, 1999) Sharpe, Larry (Susan), Ernie (Linda), Bruce (Virginia), Doug (Wendy), Bryan (Arlene), and Glenn (Manon) Cook. Jack loved and was loved by his 14 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, his nieces, nephews and many family and friends. Predeceased by sister Dorothy Kennedy. Besides the pride he took in being a trucker, Jack had a love for nature and camping and brought the meaning to the phrase “Jack of all trades”. Jack moved to Bosanquet Township from Toronto at the age of 15 where he met Agnes and raised a family. Jack and Agnes moved to Warwick Village close to 30 years ago, enjoying the community and making many new friends. Resting at Gilpin Funeral Chapel in Forest for visitation on Friday, January 26, 2018 from 5-8pm. A funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at 1:30pm. Interment at Pinehill Cemetery with Pastor Mark Isaac officiating. Memorial donations to the Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital gratefully acknowledged.
