“Barney” Dauphinee – 77, of Kentville, passed away
peacefully, Saturday, December 22, 2018 in the QEII Health Sciences
Centre, Halifax. Born in Kentville, he was a son of the late Jugurtha
and Lena (Aker) Dauphinee. Barney is survived by his wife, Sheila
(Winters) and her family; his sons, Brian, Dartmouth; Mark (Iris
Mansfield), New Minas; Charlie, Kingston; daughters, Karen (Clyde),
Kentville; Heather, Edmonton; grandchildren, Lindsay (Jason), Tracey
(Matt), Rachelle (Dillon), Richard, Anthony and Amanda (Rob); great
grandchildren, Sierra, Cohen, Jaelynn, Brooklynn, Chloe, Russell and
Maddie; many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was
predeceased by his brothers, Ray and Bill; sister, Vivian. He was the
last surviving member of his immediate family. Barney especially
enjoyed spending time with his family and loved his music and joking
around with family and friends. Cremation has taken place. There will
be no visitation or funeral service, by request. Donations in memory
may be made to the charity of your choice. Arrangements have been
entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services,
Kentville.
