Passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family at St. Joseph’s Villa on Saturday November 3rd, 2018 at the age of 91. Beloved wife of the late Allan (2010) Loving mother and mother in law of Jayne (Greg) and Karen (Brad) and the late Alfred Wanagat. Will be sadly missed by her grandchildren M’toulin, Tannish, Shey, Kwynn, Allayne, and Chenoa. Daughter of the late Layonald and Frances (Hales) Budge. Sister of the late Beverly Hatton. Gwen graduated from St. Joseph’s School of Nursing, Toronto, class of 1949. Nursing was truly her calling, her goal to be in the service of others. Her caring and unselfish nature was exemplified in all aspects of her life. A native of Moose Jaw Saskatchewan, she would proudly regale stories of her childhood on the prairies. Visitation will be at BAY GARDENS FUNERAL HOME, 1010 Botanical Drive, BURLINGTON (905-527-0405) on Wednesday, November 7 from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. a Funeral Service will follow in the Chapel at 12:00 p.m. Burial in Woodland Cemetery, Hamilton. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations to Margaret’s Place Hospice at St. Joseph’s Villa would be appreciated by the family.
