Obituary of Grigore Pintilie
Greg Pintilie, 74, passed on December 19 2018 at Sunnybrook Hospital after a strong battle with cancer. He was not alone – Felicia, his wife of 52 years, was by his side holding his hand all along. The funeral will be held this Saturday at R. S. Kane Funeral Home, 6150 Yonge Street, Toronto, followed by internment at Aurora Cemetery.
Greg was born on June 18, 1944 in Scutelnici, Romania, to mother Ilinca and father Vasile. He immigrated to Canada and successfully brought his family, wife Feliciea, daughters Elena (Emma) and Andreea and son Greg Jr. to Canada along with his sister Tutica and nephew Silviu. Greg was a determined strong minded father, husband, brother and friend. He welcomed challenges and moved through them swiftly and confidently, and to those who have met him learned a lot from him. His number one priority was family and family time and made sure that it happens – family comes first and connection is never lost.
Greg was the most handiest man, as well as a great hobbyist, always thinking on his feet – the McGyver in our lives.
Greg will be dearly missed by his beloved wife Feliciea, daughters and son, Emma, Andreea and Greg Jr., and sister Tutica, as well as extended family and friends.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Alzheimer Society of Toronto would be appreciated by the family.
