Smith, Grant V. Sr.:
Passed away, peacefully, on Saturday, August 25th, 2018 at St Mary’s Hospital at the age of 81. Beloved husband of Rena for 59 years. Loving Dad to Grant “Rusty” (Kelly) and Lianne Smith. Loving Grandpa to Tiffany (Nick) Miller, Brandon (Shawna), Paul and Sarah Langis and great-Grandpa to Brodie, Brielle and Kael. Dear brother to Joyce Farwell. Predeceased by his sisters, Verna Hayes and Sharon Smith and brother, Blair.
Grant loved bowling, playing cards, singing, and especially golfing with his wife for the last 40 years.
Grant Sr.’s family will receive relatives and friends from 2:00 pm – 2:45 pm on Wednesday, August 29th, 2018 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Memorial Service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 3:00 pm followed by a reception.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the St. Mary’s Hospital Foundation – Cardiac Care Unit or Trinity Village Care Centre would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
