Gordon Reid
At the Ottawa General Hospital on Friday, November 16, 2018, Gordon L. Reid of Ottawa; age 88 years. Beloved husband of Phyllis Reid (nee McCauley) and the late Edith Reid (nee Bradley). Proud Dad of Alison Scott (Donovan) and Bradley Reid (Pam). Loving Grand-Dad of Hailey and Connor Scott, Braden and Logan Reid. Predeceased by his parents Roy and Lena Reid (nee Hunter); and 8 siblings and their spouses: Sherwood (Agnes), Hilton (Norma), Mansell (Dorothy), Eunice Hill (William), Hunter (Irene), Lorne (Cleta), Ruby Proudfoot (William) and Jean Harrison (Stewart). He is survived by his sister Joan McHugh (late Oral) and numerous nieces and nephews. Gordon was born in Riceville, Ontario. He worked for the International Harvester Co. and Kemptville Truck Co. (now Tallman Truck Group). Funeral arrangements under the care and direction of the Munro & Morris Funeral Homes Ltd., 20 Main St. South, Maxville (613-527-2898). A Graveside Memorial Service will be held in the Fenaghvale cemetery on Thursday, November 22, 2018 at 11 am. Memorial Donations to the Ottawa Hospital Foundation or the Fenaghvale Cemetery would be appreciated by the family. As a Memorial to Gordon a tree will be planted in a memory woods. A tree grows-memories live.
