Loving Father of Craig (Sara) and Christopher (Ty-Leigh). Loving Grandfather to Oliver, Charlotte, Darwin and Alice. Dear brother of Geraldine and the late Marelene. Dear son-in-law of Levina Blair. Predeceased by his parents Clifford and Hazel Shannon.
Gord was born in Peterborough and trained as a Forest Technician at Sir Sanford Fleming College in Lindsay. He was an Entrepreneur in Oshawa before retiring to the Kawartha region. Gord valued his friendships and was very thankful for all of the support from Brenda and Larry Smith, Maralyn and Edward Fife, Maureen and the late Peter Jackman, Peter and Rhoda Wendt, Pat and Ken Cornyer and all of his Tully Crescent Neighbors. Gord often talked about his ideal childhood in East City and still has many long term friendships.
