Gordon Thomas, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, passed away June 19, 2018, at the age of 90 years.
Gordon is survived by his wife Doreen, of 48 years; sons Jim (Carolyn) and Darren (Tracy); and five grandchildren: Jace and Cameron, and Caitlin, Ryan, and Jocelyn Thomas. He will also be lovingly remembered by his siblings Barbara Mckoen and Don (Bernice) Thomas; along with his nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents Ben and Ada Thomas; sister Helen; and brother Victor.
Gordon was born, raised, and lived in the Indus community all his 90 years. He was a farmer, rancher, and owned and operated a school bus business for 50 years. Gordon loved his family, his farm, as well as big game hunting, curling, camping, rodeos, and auction sales.
A Celebration of Gordon’s Life will be held at the Indus Recreation Centre (225155 Range Road 281A, Indus, AB) on Saturday, June 30, 2018, from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m.
