Mr. Gordon Swanson of Melita, passed away at the Deloraine Health Centre on Sunday, December 30, 2018 at the age of 85.
He was predeceased by his wife, Joyce in 2010; parents, Carl & Ruth (Johnston) Swanson; two brothers, Arnold (Irene) and Ken; sister, Gloria (Herb) Taylor; brother-in-law, Earl Pryor; sister-in-law, Margaret (Armund) Caouette.
Gordon is survived by his two children, Carl (Karen) and Diane; best friend, Catherine Eisthen; (Catherine’s family, Barb (Ian) Craven, Linda (Mike) Dean, and Terry (Linsay) Eisthen; three sisters, Arlene Masson, Laurie Swanson, and Marlys (Gary) Mitchel; brother-in-law, Gordon (Madelaine) Pryor; nieces and nephews, Mike (Roberta) Brown (Jace & Dylan), Joan Brown (Seth & Taylor), Murray (Shelia) Brown, Janet Maxwell, Dwayne (Karla) Swanson, Karen (George) Tanner, Carla Swanson, Laurissa (Aaron) Harkness.
A Funeral Service for Gordon will take place at the Victoria United Church, Melita, MB on Friday, January 4, 2019 at 2:00pm. Reverend Barb Alston will officiate with burial to follow at the Melita Cemetery.
