Gladys Christine (Dober) Edwards, age 82, passed away peacefully, in Halifax on May 20, 2018, with her family by her side. A kind, gentle and giving woman; Gladys was born in Beau Bois, Nfld. and was the daughter of the late Daniel and Josephine Dober. Gladys is predeceased by her loving husband of 50 years, Richard W. Edwards and brother, John Dober. She is survived by her sisters Mary Dimmer and Susie Farrell. Gladys will be missed by all those whose lives she touched especially her children; Richard (Lynn), Dan, Arch, Paul (Jesus) and Susan. To her grandchildren, Jordan, Jillian, Mitchell and Matthew along with countless nieces and nephews “Granny” was special and was a woman of faith whose kindness and gentle soul had an impact not only on her family but all those who she met throughout her life. Granny’s mission in life was to care for her husband, children and grandchildren. She did this with great love. We are comforted to know Granny has rowed her dory home. Thank you to the staff of Park Stone Nursing Home. A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday May 26th, 2018 at 2pm. Mattatall Funeral Home. 2017 Portland Street, Dartmouth, NS. In lieu of flowers donations to the Parkinson’s Society of Nova Scotia.
