Obituary for
Gilles Huneault
HUNEAULT, Gilles
April 5th, 1942 – December 29th, 2018
In memory of Gilles Huneault who passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, December 29th, 2018 after a long and courageous 8 year battle with cancer. Predeceased by his loving wife, Helen. Devoted father of Marc (Nicole), David (Leigh), and Leanne (friend Christopher).
He took great pride in his grandchildren; Marc-André, Gabrielle, Nicholas, Alain, Eric, Danielle, and Sophie. Dear son of the late Lucille (nee Belanger) Huneault. Dear brother of the late Huguette Sabourin (Albert) and Gaëtanne Graham (Bill). Dear brother-in-law of Sister Mary Jakubo CSJ, Anne Taus (Romano), Joseph Jakubo (Joan), Edward Jakubo (Cathy), and Michael Jakubo (Jeanne). Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Coming from a large extended French Canadian Family, he proudly called his first cousins among his best friends. Gilles was a devoted husband and father but was happiest when he was spending time with his grandchildren. He was Gilles, Dad and Pépére. He was a friend to many. He loved to meet for breakfast with his friends, cheering on his Boston Bruins, teasing with a good argument and sharing a laugh. He especially loved his wife Helen with whom he shared over 52 years of marriage; he has mourned her immensely since her passing in October. The family will receive relatives and friends at the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 4691 R.R. 15, Chelmsford on Thursday, January 3rd, 2019 after 10:30 a.m. A funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. in the funeral home chapel followed by a luncheon at Forest Ridge Golf Course in Chelmsford.
