DALLIDAY, Gary Hugh “The Diller” (Longtime Sports Broadcaster and Dedicated Thirty-three year Sports Director CHEX Radio and Television, Member of Peterborough and District Sports Hall of Fame, and Peterborough District Pathway of Fame) At Peterborough Regional Health Centre after a courageous battle with cancer on Friday, August 10, 2018 in his 77th year. Gary, beloved husband of Donna Louise Dalliday (nee Guerin). Loving and devoted father of Tim, Krista, and Peter and their spouses Janet, Rob, and Sarah. Cherished Poppa Diller to Rachel, Jack; Nicholas; Noah, Mari, and Lincoln. Dear brother of Janice Lumb (Richard), John Esford (Laura), and predeceased by his sister Cathy Silverson. Dear brother-in-law of Teresa Johnson, Jim Guerin (Jeannie), Peter Guerin, and William Silverson. Gary loved the people of Peterborough, and its sporting community and was a fixture in the local sport scene for over 50 years. Local sports were his focus and priority, and his coverage of these local sporting events endeared him to both the fans and participants. Giving back to his community meant everything to Gary. Relatives and friends are invited to attend Gary’s Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, 208 Romaine Street, on Saturday, August 18, 2018 at 1:00 pm. Fr. Bill Moloney officiating.
