FrankForth, beloved husband of the late Mrs. Eva Forth of Calgary, passed away after battling a number of age related health issues on Monday, December 17, 2018 at the age of 92 years.
He was the loving father of Ed Forth of Lethbridge, and Ron Forth and his wife Marla of Chestermere, and their three daughters, Sabrina (Max), Calista, and Veronica. He will also be lovingly remembered by his sister Irene Winter of San Jacinto, California, his sister-in-law Nettie Forth of Lethbridge, sister-in-law Nora Morrow of Pigeon Lake and many nieces and nephews, good friend Pat Niederlag of Calgary and Ruth Cook of Oakbank, Manitoba, and by many other friends and neighbors. He was predeceased by his wife of 61 years, Eva Forth, who passed away on September 26, 2018. He was also predeceased by his parents Frank and Sarah Forth, sister Marge Sepeda, and brothers Richard and Tom Forth.
Frank was born near Hartlepool, England and migrated to Canada at the age of one year with his parents, living in Dugald, Manitoba and then Lethbridge, Alberta where he met Eva Carter and married. He worked for over 25 years at the Lethbridge Agricultural Research Station. He had a life-long passion for farming and lived with his family on a small farm near Lethbridge from 1975 to 2005 raising hay and cattle. After retiring to Prince of Peace near Calgary he took up painting, investing and enjoyed his remaining years with his beloved wife Eva. He will be remembered for his remarkable memory and stories about bygone days, his sense of humor, and kindness.
Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at a Celebration of Life to be held at Mountain View Funeral Home, (Prairie View Chapel, 1605 – 100 Street SE, Calgary) on Saturday, January 26, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. with viewing prior to the Celebration starting at 2:00 p.m. A private burial for immediate family will take place at 4:00 p.m.
