FRANK, Frances Marian – With gratitude for her long life, Frances’ family announces her peaceful passing at home on Sunday, May 20,2018 at the age of 95 years.
Frances Marian Frank (nee Schaller), beloved wife of the late Francis Stephen Frank (2002). Cherished mother of Maryann Fedy (John), James (Jacqueline), Marcia Frank, Daniel (Lorraine), Julianne Fischer (Michael), Ann McIntosh (Hugh),Thomas (Margaret), Mary Terejko (Joseph) and Francine Bugada (Daniele). Proud grandmother of 40, and great-grandmother of 23 (and counting). Frances is also survived by her brother, Jim Schaller (Dianne).
Frances is predeceased by her parents, Leo and Merta Schaller (nee Padden), her brothers Thomas and Ken Schaller, her son-in-law Michael Fischer, and her grandson Philip.
Born and raised in Preston, Frances was a faithful member of the congregation at St. Clements Church, where her family has worshipped for over 100 years. She was a devoted wife, sister, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her family and faith were the centre of her world and her home on William Street was the hub for many family celebrations.
Friends will be received at the Barthel Funeral Home, 566 Queenston Rd. , on Thursday May 24th from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Parish Prayers will take place at the funeral home on Thursday evening at 7 o’clock. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday morning, May 25th at St. Clements Church, 745 Duke St. Cambridge, at 11 o’clock with Fr. Tim Higgins officiating. Rite of Committal will follow at Parklawn Cemetery. For those who wish, memorial donations may be made to St. Clements Church (Building Fund) or to St. Mary’s Hospital Foundation, and can be arranged by contacting the funeral home (519)653-3251.
