Peacefully with her family at Kingston General Hospital on Thursday January 11th, 2018. Florence Carter of R.R.#4, Picton at the age of 88. Beloved wife of the late Jack. Adored mother of John (Jan), Terry (Nancy), Rosemary Bird (Terry), Russell (Cheryl), Heather Merchant (Kevin), Tracey Breakenridge (Wayne) and Susan Moore (Michael). Dear sister of the late Mabel Smithson, Morley, Russell, Everett, Gerald, Ken, Blanche Rand, and Edna Branscombe. Grandma to Sarah, Katie, Nathan, Fred, Jillian, Melissa, Michael, Jennifer, Kimiko, Jessica, Erin, Kristin, Curtis, Travis, Alisha, Megan, Carter, Michelle, Ryan and Tyler and her numerous great-grandchildren. Florence will be sadly missed by her sister-in-law Lois Carter. Mrs. Carter is resting at
the Whattam Funeral Home, 33 Main Street,
Picton, ON.
A memorial service will be held in the chapel on Thursday January 18th, 2018 at 2 pm. If desired, donations may be made to the Picton Dialysis Unit or Cressy United Church would be appreciated by the family.Cremation has taken place with interment at Cressy Cemetery later in the year.Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday evening from 6 until 8 pm and one hour prior to the service.
