Born on November 22, 1927, in Springhill, Colchester County, Nova Scotia, she was the daughter of the late John & Alice (Lewis) Coldwell.
As a child she moved with her parents to Avonport. In her teen age years she was a regular foot passenger on the M.V. Kippowa to Springhill. She was a very kind and gracious lady, who would always be there to aid and shelter those in need. She often put her own needs after those she loved.
