January 9, 1952 -April 15, 2018
Ernie’s family is heartbroken to announce his sudden passing.
Ernie was married to his wife Diane (Nee Zroback) for 45 years. Together they built a family with their two children and four grandchildren.
He is survived by his son Jasin, daughter-in-law Margo, granddaughter Erica, grandson Ryan, daughter Zoe (Roblin), son- in-law Brian and grandsons Login and Ben.
The greatest gift his children ever gave him was grandchildren. Being a “Papa” brought him all kinds of joy and a grand sense of pride. Those kids could do no wrong!
Ernie was the most giving, lighthearted, fun loving soul. Ernie would do anything he could to help out anyone else. He always had a story and an opinion but at the end of the day he just wanted to help out and make everyone laugh. Ernie would tease and joke around with everyone he met. It was his way of showing he cared.
In his final days his wit and teasing kept his fantastic nurses on 3rd East on their toes. It was very rarely that he called anyone by their real name. Everyone got a nickname even if he didn’t know you.
Ernie took pride in all he did. Being the best truck driver out there for many years. He could maneuver a tractor trailer like no other. When his trucking years were over he was often called upon to land the boats!
The loss of “Ernie, Dad, Papa” leaves a gigantic void in many lives. We will hold on to all our memories and keep sharing stories.
Should friends and relatives choose to join us: An interment will take place on Friday, April 27, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Lake of the Woods Cemetery up on the north side of the “Lily” columbarium.
Luncheon to follow at the family home.
