Elmer Dewitt Walters passed away at St. Marys Memorial Hospital on December 31, 2018 at the age of 89.
Husband of Joyce, whom he married on July 2, 1994. Father of Dorothy Sneilling and Chris, Daniel Walters and Beth, Step-Father of Gary and Marlene Nairn, Nancy and Dale Leonhardt, and Randy and Lisa Nairn. Grandfather of Jeff and Cheryl Nairn, Jill and Ryan Hammond, Ian Nairn, Adam Nairn, Brandon Nairn and Kyle Nairn. Great-grandfather of Cohen, James and Parker Hammond, Bryson, Morgan and Rowan Nairn. Brother of Virginia Jacobsen.
Predeceased his daughter Deborah Walters (2015).
Cremation to take place. His cremated remains will later be spread at sea by the U.S. Coast Guard in the Pacific Ocean.
