Obituary of Elisabeth Stoop
Passed away peacefully at Northland Pointe on Friday, November 30th in her 96th year, with family at her bedside.
Beloved wife of the late John (2007).
Loving mother of Yolanda Yungblut (Robert), Linda (Patti), John Jr. (Cheryl), Adrian (Karen), Betty Pala (Frank), Mike (Pauline), Rita Loeffen (John) and Lucy (Nick). Caring Oma of 17 grandchildren. Great Oma of 17 great grandchildren
Elisabeth came to Canada from Holland in 1952, married John and settled in Wainfleet on Spierdyke Farms. She enjoyed gardening, playing cards, and singing in the church choir. She was an active member of the Catholic Women’s League of Canada. However, the role she enjoyed most was being a mother, Oma and Great Oma.
Our heartfelt thanks to all the staff at Northland Pointe for the kindness and compassion shown to our mother for the last 2 years.
The Stoop family will receive friends at the ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL,179 Clarence Street, Port Colborne on Tuesday, December 4, 2018 from 2- 4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Vigil Prayers will be recited in the funeral home on Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Elizabeth’s Roman Catholic Church, 31928 Hwy#3, Wainfleet on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at 12 p.m. with Father Stanley Ksciuk as celebrant. Rite of Committal will follow at Maple Lawn Cemetery, Wainfleet.
