Douglas Bone
BONE, Allan (Douglas) – Passed away at the age of 61 on Sunday, June 24, 2018 after a brief battle with Pancreatic Cancer. He leaves behind his wife of 37 years Darlene (nee Sleeman), his loving children, Daughter Robyn (Eric Pilles), son Andrew and his beautiful new granddaughter, Evelyn Pilles. Also grieving is his brother Tom and his wife Ellen as well as their children Ellery and Faukes of British Columbia. He will also be deeply missed by his Father-in-law Lorne Sleeman, brother-in-laws Mike and Tim Sleeman and their families as well as his lifelong friends Bill and Diana Goba. Al was a huge hockey fan and loved coaching the kids in his younger years. He also enjoyed writing, travelling and discussing history. Special thanks to the ER staff at the WCGH for their compassion and caring. Out of respect for his family making travel arrangements, a memorial visitation will be held at H.L. Cudney Funeral Home (241 West Main Street, Welland) on Friday, July 6, 2018 from 6 – 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, due to family allergies, memorial donations to the charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.
