“Bernie” Cook of St. Albert passed away peacefully at Hardisty Nursing Home in Edmonton at the age of 94 on December 10, 2017.
She was predeceased by her loving husband Murray, sister Doreen and brother Lyall. Lovingly remembered by daughter Judy Cameron (Neil) and son Glen Cook (Karen) grandchildren Laura, Douglas and Susan and great-grandchildren Jordyn, Dana, Jake and Julia.
She resided in St. Albert the later part of her life but spent time across Canada as an air force wife. Mom was an avid curler and represented P.E.I. in the Diamond D in 1963. Upon moving to St. Albert she was member ofthe St. Albert Curling Club for many years. She was in the Alberta Seniors Provincial championship in 1979 and won many bonspiels. As well Mom was a golfer and belonged to Sturgeon Valley Golf Club where she was club champion in 1975 and won senior championship in 1979.
A private family memorial will be held at a later date. As per her wishes she will be cremated. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
