Doreen Hamelin (Richey)
Doreen had a quiet and reserved demeanor. She always put everybody else before herself. A kind and pleasant personality but when she spoke, family and friends listened to what she had to say! She had a love for nature and enjoyed all different kinds of birds. Doreen passed away on at the Golden manor with family by her side on Thursday, September 27, 2018 at the age of 91 years. She has gone to meet her husband Marcel Hamelin in 1988 and her son Richard in 1978. Loving mother of Maurice Hamelin (Carol) of Timmins, Roger Hamelin (Diane) of Cobalt, Suzanne Vick (Reg) of Nappanee, Carole-Ann Hamelin of Timmins, Cynthia Robillard (Denis) of Timmins and Marcel Jr. Hamelin (Patricia Graves) of Oakville. Cherished Grandma of 13 grandchildren and Gigi of 16 great grandchildren. Dear sister of James Richey (Mary-Anna) of Winnipeg and Lucille St. Pierre (late Rene) of Timmins. Also predeceased by her siblings George, Robert (Pat), Raymond (Sandy) and Cathy Morin.
Funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, October 1, 2018 from the Miron-Wilson Funeral Home Chapel (Msgr Pat Lafleur officiating). Cremation will follow. A reception will be held in the Miron-Wilson Reception Lounge. Remembrance donations to Diabetes Association would be greatly appreciated.
