Doreen McCallum
Passed away peacefully at the Hamilton General Hospital on Friday, May 11, 2018 at the age of 88. Predeceased by her beloved husband Morley in 1986. Loving mother of Nancy Wallwork (the late Marty), Linda Graydon (Paul) and Ross (Madeline). Cherished grandmother of Carly, Christopher, Carissa (Kevin), Stephen (Janette), Anthony (Eva), Angela (Joel), Oliver and Lillian. Proud great-grandmother of Adrian and Aurora. Dear sister of Edgar Myers and the late Evelyn. Predeceased by her loving partner and dear friend of 15 years, Owen Smith. Doreen was born in Toronto and moved to Grimsby in 1955. She enjoyed being very active in the community. Doreen loved her family, friends and home. As per Doreen’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Visitation at STONEHOUSE-WHITCOMB FUNERAL HOME, 11 Mountain Street, GRIMSBY (905-945-2755) on Wednesday, May 16, 2018 from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at St. John’s Presbyterian Church, 10 Mountain Street, Grimsby on Thursday, May 17, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. Private family interment at a later date at Queen’s Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to St. John’s Presbyterian Church or a charity of your choice would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
