WOODLAND, Don “Woody”
It is with sadness but thankfulness that we announce the passing of Donald Wilfred (Woody) Woodland in his 77th year, at his residence on Thursday, May 31, 2018. Loving husband of Nan Sue Woodland (nee Rinker) of 56 years. Dear father of Cheryl Adams (Harvey) and Tom Woodland (Sarah). Adored Papa to Ben Adams, Tori Adams, Izzie Adams, Sophie Adams, and Avah Woodland and Jack Woodland. Survived by his sister Victoria Martyn in Nova Scotia. Predeceased by his brothers Stanley Woodland, Ronald Woodland, and Richard Woodland. Woody served with the Royal Canadian Regiment and was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #176. He loved to spend his time at Hillsboro Beach with his family and friends. Together with Nan Sue, they spend many memorable times in Florida with their children and grandchildren. Woody was a skilled Sheet Metal worker in the Heating & Cooling industry, loved his trade, and enjoyed being occupied with his work. A Celebration of Life will take place at the Forest Legion, 58 Albert Street, Forest, on Monday, June 4, 2018, from 11:00 am – 2:00 pm with a Memorial Service given by Rev. Joanne MacOdrum at 12:30 pm. For those who wish, in memorial donations to the charity of choice would be appreciated by the family.
