It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that the Goumas family announce the peaceful passing of Demetre Goumas in Brampton Civic Hospital on Sunday, December 9, 2018. Beloved husband of Olga (nee Parasakis). Loving father of Michael (Doreen), John (Tasha) and Stella (Nelson). Cherished grandfather of James, William, Liljana, Mattias and Benjamin. Survived by brother Jiacovo Goumas and sister Erenie Petridi.
Family and friends may gather at the Andrews Community Funeral Centre – 8190 Dixie Road, Brampton (North of Steeles Avenue) 905-456-8190, on Tuesday, December 11, 2018 from 6pm-9pm and on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 from 2pm-4pm and 7pm-9pm.
Funeral service will be held at Greek Orthodox Church of Prophet Elias, 1785 Matheson Blvd, Mississauga on Thursday, December 13, 2018 at 10am. Interment at Beachwood Cemetery, 7241 Jane St, Concord following the service. Donations in Jimmy’s memory may be made to SickKids Foundation.
