Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of our beloved mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. Delia passed away peacefully with family at her side in the amazing care of Zion Park Manor. She is survived by her loving children, Ron (Linda) and Debbie Tyslau (Ron), as well as her adoring grandchildren, Amber (Bob), Nicki (Justin), Marc (Samantha), Christie (Kyle), Brian (Lauren), Brandon and Mackinley and great-grandchildren, Tyler, Luca, Zoe, Avery and Landon. Delia was pre-deceased by her infant son Brian (1956), daughter Linda (1983) and her loving husband George (1992).
Delia was born in Pipestone, Manitoba. While living in Saskatchewan she met, fell in love with and married George in 1955. They raised their family in St. Albert, Alberta and Richmond, BC before settling in Cloverdale. She and George created a wonderful life together filled with many fond memories of travel and fun.
After George’s passing, she met Jim MacMahon and they enjoyed years of friendship and loving companionship until his passing in 2017. Delia loved to dance and paint and her kind and loving heart reflected her Christian beliefs, which was the very core of her. She was always there to pray for others and to help support family, friends and those in need. Delia was genuine. Her sweet and gentle nature endeared others to her and her quick sense of humour was enjoyed by many. Delia was an active member of Precious Blood Parish, CWL and St Vincent de Paul and will be missed by many. We are profoundly grateful for the love that she shared with all of us.
Prayers will be held on Tuesday, April 3 at 7:00 p.m. at Precious Blood Catholic Church, 17475 59 Ave., Surrey. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 4 at 10:30 a.m. also at Precious Blood.
Interment at Ocean View Burial Park, 4000 Imperial St. Burnaby.
