OBITUARY
David Joseph Foote
13 November , 1963 – 16 May , 2018
With broken hearts the family announce the passing of David Joseph Foote who passed away suddenly as a result of a tragic accident on May 16, 2018. Born in Digby hospital, he was a son of the late Marion Celeste (Thibodeau) and George Chesley Foote.
David was a loving father, brother, uncle, cousin and friend to all. He worked for many years in the local fish plants. A self-taught carpenter and mechanic, he was always the first to step up and get the job done, usually assisted by his faithful ‘apprentice’, his daughter Hanna. To David, happy hour was time spent doing any job for others. His leisure hours found him in his favorite places fishing or hunting with his favorite dog, Duke. Many of these hours were spent teaching the younger generation how to “do it right”. He will be missed by all.
He is survived by, siblings, Owen (Diane), Martin (Lena), Gary, Rose (Mel) Button, Rick, Stephen (Diane), Brian (Susan), Faye (Boyd) Haight, Brenda (Arnie) Reistad, Dean, his twin sister, Donna (John) Bryson; daughters, Amanda, Hanna, 11 grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by sisters Linda, and Sheila (infant), brother George.
Celebration of David’s life will be 12pm, Tuesday May 22 from the North Rage Hall. Located at 1018 Ridge Rd, North Range. Interment in Woodlawn Cemetery, Digby, Tuesday May 22 at 10am. Leave condolences at www.jaynesfuneralhome.com
