David passed away on Thursday, February 1, 2018 after a short battle with advanced colon cancer at the age of 61.
He was predeceased by his parents Margaret and Michael; and his brother George.
David is survived by his wife of 32 years, Heather; their three children: David (Kim), Elizabeth (Ross) and their son Gideon and Abraham (Jordy); brothers Doug and Gordon (Mary); and sisters Maggie, Cathy and Bev (Garnet).
David was born on August 21, 1956 in Balcarres, SK. He joined the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) at the age of 18 and was assigned to the Royal Canadian Regiment (RCR). This began a 15 year career that included two tours in Germany, peacekeeping in the Golan Heights and Cyprus and recruit instructing at CFB Cornwallis, NS. David retired from the CAF at the rank of Sergeant in 1990. He was a long-time member of the Philadelphia Church of God.
David spent his early life as a soldier fighting for his country, and died as a soldier for God.
A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held at Regina Funeral Home and Cemetery, 4001 East Victoria Avenue, Regina, SK on Sunday, February 11, 2018 at 1:00 p.m.
