Obituary of Colleen Loder
Colleen Ida Vera Young Loder, was born February 2nd, 1972 in GFW. She peacefully departed her earthly home April 8th, 2018 from Central Health, GFW. Pre-deceased by Willis Young (Grandfather), Blanche Young (Grandmother) and Gordon Loder (Father-in-law).
Colleen married Stephen Loder August 8th, 1998. This relationship was blessed with two children, Kendell and Braeden. Colleen graduated from BMC, GFW, attended MUN St. John’s majoring in sociology. A graduate of Grenfell College, Corner Brook with a BNRN. She further studied Criminology and worked with Behavioural Aid Community Health Care GFW and area. She also worked at Central Health, GFW area.
During her career, Colleen battled with sickness and disease; she also experienced God’s healing power. She shared testimony publicly and personally of her divine experiences having medical confirmations. Her life, family and work were saturated with prayer. Colleen’s moto, “we will not be afraid of tomorrow, because God is already there”. Her theme bible verse “ For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 8-38-39
Her family: Stephen, Kendell, Braeden and Toot was her world as seen in her love, unconditional care and compassion. Colleen’s theme song in all of life’s challenges was, “The God of the Mountain”.
She leaves to mourn Stephen (husband), Kendell (daughter), Braeden (son), Rowie/Toot (mother), Monica Loder (mother-in-law); Debra Alford (sister, Florida), Daniel Webber (brother, Texas) and a large circle of family and friends.
Cremation has already taken place. Family visitation Thursday April 12th 2-4pm and public visitation 7-9pm. Celebration of life service for Colleen will take place Friday, April 13, 2018 at 2:00 pm at Faith Covenant Church Badger. Date for burial to be determined.
