Colin Barry Easson Gates 2018

Obituary Overview
Colin (Barry) Easson Gates
It is with great sadness we said goodbye to our Dad, grandfather, and brother. Barry is lovingly remembered by his Five children; Brent, Randy, Brad, Russel and Holly (Michael). Seven grandchildren; Mercedes, Emily, Erika, Jocelyn, Valen, Jonathan and Ryan. And his siblings; Phyllis, Leah, Jackie, Morris and George.
Barry was born in Bures Saskatchewan, to Birdie of Avonlea, SK and Stewart Gates of Fournier Ontario.
Barry was a brilliant electrician. He worked in many places but spent most of his years at the Colonsay Potash Mine and at Standard Machine right up until he was 82. Barry was an avid camper and fisherman, he especially loved when his grandsons, Jonathan and Ryan joined him. He had been to the coast many times with his truck and camper, hauling his boat behind him. If he couldn’t get to the coast, he was happy spending time at Rusty’s Coulee on Diefenbaker Lake. Spending time with his siblings was important to Barry and they would all get together every fall. He will be deeply missed. We hope he is catching many fish at that big lake in the sky.
A Celebration of Barry’s Life will take place on Saturday, June 23, 2018, at 2:00 p.m. at Park Funeral Home, 311 3rd Ave North, Saskatoon, SK with a private interment of Barry’s ashes at later date.
