Claire Elizabeth (Bisset) Patterson
Claire Elizabeth (Bisset) Patterson left this mortal coil Monday, December 3, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease, in her 93rd year. Born in Goderich to May Bertha (McManus) and William Bisset August 17, 1926. Beloved wife and partner to Ronald Thomas Patterson, who predeceased her by ten years. Much loved by sons Christopher William, Peter Thomas, and Andrew Roger, and by their wives and children, her grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. A devoted congregant of St. George’s Anglican Church, and selfless member of the I.O.D.E., Claire lived her life in accordance with Christian principles. She is warmly remembered for her generosity, compassion, and gentility. Visitation will commence at McCallum-Palla Funeral Home, 11 Cambria Rd. N., Goderich, on Friday, December 7, at 12 noon, followed by a memorial service at 1 p.m. The family will host a reception immediately following. Interment at Colborne Township Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer’s Foundation, or to St. George’s Anglican Church, in Claire’s memory, would be appreciated.
