Chris VanHerpt was a family man, custom home builder and life long resident of the Metcalfe/Greely area. Chris died unexpectedly at The Ottawa Hospital – Civic Campus on Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at the age of 41. Chris is survived by his loving wife Connie Benson; his children Keisha Morrow (Sean), David and Matthew; his parents Charlie VanHerpt and Marilyne Cybulski; his Gramma Alma; his brother Ed VanHerpt (Jo); and by his in-laws Ken and Karen Benson, Gramma Betty and Krista Benson (Chad). Chris was a devoted father and friend who enjoyed spending time with his family and friends up on the mountain. He will be sadly missed by his little buddy and life long friend Paul Lawrence (Christina). He will be deeply missed by all his Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, In-laws and especially by his Nieces and Nephews Brett (Courtney), Jojo, Ben, Brooke, Noah, Brad and Josh. A Celebration of Life ceremony will be held for all friends, family, colleagues and well wishers at Orchard View Wedding & Event Centre on Friday, January 12, 2018 from 3:00-7:00 pm. Eulogy and Toasts to commence at 5:00 pm. www.orchardview.ca In lieu of flowers an account has been set up at the Manotick Branch of the Royal Bank to help with the children’s future education.
