Obituary for
Charlene Nusca (Weldon)
NUSCA, Charlene Diane
nee Weldon
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Charlene Diane Nusca, on August 8, 2018. She was surrounded by her family at Juravinski Hospital in Hamilton, Ontario. She fought hard against lung cancer for the past two years.
Charlene was born on April 28, 1946 in Corning, New York, the first daughter for Wayne and Lucille Weldon. She attended the University of Buffalo before becoming a lifelong resident of Burlington, Ontario.
Charlene was a loving mother to Jason (Maria), Nicole (Mark), and Christopher (Delanie). She was an adored grandmother to Jordan, Madison, Jared, Jacob, Mackenzie, Carter, Trinity, Julien and Calihan. Charlene will be missed forever by her three younger sisters and their families; Joanne, Bonnie and Janet and loving Aunt to Shelley, Paul, Jaclyn, Michael, Geoffrey, Tyler, and Trevor.
Charlene was always calming and supportive; she consistently gave her love, energy and friendship to every person in her life. After retiring as an education assistant for 21 years, she was blessed to spend many years with family and friends and went vacationing around the world.
The family would like to thank everyone who supported and helped care for Charlene during this time. Visitation at SMITH’S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stoplight north of QEW), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Friday from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. A Celebration of Life will be held in the funeral home chapel on Saturday, August 11, 2018 at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, Charlene would appreciate a donation toward the fight against Cancer, please consider the Canadian Cancer Society.
