Grimwood, Catherine Maureen (Cathy) —

Passed away, peacefully, with her family by her side, at Hospice Wellington, Guelph, on Tuesday, January 16, 2018. Cathy (Sanvido) Grimwood, age 60 years, was the beloved wife of Paul Grimwood. She was the loving mother of Tara (Steve) and Tina (Dave) and the proud grandmother of Carmen. Cathy was the beloved daughter of Joyce Sanvido and the late Bruno (2008). She was the dear sister of Donny, Karren, and Lynda (Jim). Survived by her nieces, and nephew, Amber, Tanya, and Aaron. Cathy will be sadly missed by her cats, Trixie and Minnie.
Cathy spent 35 years in the Travel industry, and was the proud owner of Tri-City Travel. She had a deep love for animals, and supported a number of animal rights groups. Cathy was a dedicated volunteer at New Hope Animal Rescue.
Cremation has taken place. The family will receive their friends at the Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon Street, Guelph, on Sunday, January 21, 2018 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held in the chapel on Monday, January 22, 2018 at 11 a.m. Interment of ashes in Marymount Cemetery, Guelph, in the spring. In lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice Wellington, or to New Hope Animal Rescue would be appreciated by the family.
