Obituary of Carolyn Kennedy
KENNEDY – Carolyn Wendy
July 25, 1941 – October 24, 2018
Carolyn Kennedy, – gypsy, hippie, free spirit – trusted her wings and left on her next great adventure October 24, 2018.
Greatly loved and deeply missed by her husband Peter Burns, whose love and devotion knows no bounds. Cherished mother of Robin Purcell (Mike), John Alexander (Barb), Kara Macie (Greg) Gillian Kennedy (Mark). Lovingly remembered by Lori Burns (John), Kim Rivet (Andre), Tara Burns (Mark). Adored by her grandchildren Satchel, Sam and Ben, Annagh and Holly, Michael, Julia, Jake and Ben. She is predeceased by her parents John and Doris Kennedy.
Carolyn had a life-long love affair with the French River, sugar sandwiches and flannel sheets, but what mattered most to her was family, followed closely by her menagerie of pets and strays. Carolyn’s children and grandchildren were her pride and joy, and they all grew up captivated by her magical way of making the ordinary extraordinary. A creative force to her core, everything she touched turned into art.
There will be visitation at Martyn Funeral Home on Thursday November 1st from 2:00-4:00pm and 7:00 – 9:00pm. A small private family celebration of her life will take place at a later date. Carolyn loved babies and animals, and in honour of her memory, donations to Sick Kids Hospital or the North Bay Humane Society would be greatly appreciated by the family.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Carolyn
