In Loving Memory
NEWBURGH (Marr) nee FREEMAN, Carolyn Alice. It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the peaceful passing of Carolyn at Woodlands of Sunset, formerly of Wainfleet, on December 5th, 2018 in her 82nd year. Mom will be joyously welcomed by those who have gone before; parents Albert and Alma Freeman, dear sister Louise Lambert and granddaughter Melissa Newburgh. She will be missed greatly by her husband Joseph Newburgh, sons Kelly Marr and his wife Jane, Terry Marr, Rick Newburgh and his wife Colleen, Michael Newburgh and Darryl Newburgh, sister Martha and late Joel Johnson, and Richard and Patricia Freeman, grandchildren Melissa and John, Meagan and Rian, Mark and Chantel, Sarah and Ryan, great grandchildren Reed, Lincoln, Benson, Ava and Owen and her many nieces and nephews. Carolyn worked with the Niagara Regional Police and after her retirement, she shared her love of art and drawing through her business ‘Ceramics by Carolyn’. Our deepest gratitude goes to the staff at The Woodlands of Sunset and Welland General Hospital. Special thanks also to Mom’s niece Michelle Ramsay for all of her guidance and support over the years. The family will receive the comfort of friends at PLEASANTVIEW FUNERAL HOME (2000 Merrittville Hwy at the corner of Hwy # 20) 905-892-1699 on Saturday December 8th from 2-4 & 6-8 PM. Visitation will continue on Sunday December 09th at 12:00 noon until her Celebration of Life in the funeral home chapel at 1:00 PM.
