It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of the late Caroline Snook (nee Walters) announces her passing at the Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre in Port aux Basques, NL on Thursday, August 23rd, 2018 at the age of 74 years after a courageous battle with different types of cancer which lived within her body for 35 years and never giving up. Born in Isle aux Morts, NL. Caroline was the daughter of the late Garfield and Sarah Jane Walters (nee Scott). She was also predeceased by her father and mother-in-law Hubert and Mercedes Snook (nee Farrell); sisters Annie Walters, Elizabeth (Emanuel) Caines, Rose Aucoin; brother William Henry Walters; brothers-in-law John Snook and Albert Hodder.
She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her loving husband Lawrence Snook; children Anthony (Dawn) Walters of Timberlea, NS, Rhonda (Norman) LeFrense of Isle aux Morts, NL, Elizabeth (Martin) Bishop of Cole Harbour, NS, Lawrence Hubert Snook (Margaret T Coley) of Isle aux Morts, NL; grandchildren Megan, Adrian, Leah Walters, Andrew, Abby, Avery Snook; brothers and sisters George (Vivian) Walters, Garfield (Annie May) Walters, Marina (Alonzo) Hurley all of Isle aux Morts, NL, Minter (Loretta) Walters of Burnt Islands, NL, Ella (Conrad) Davis of St. Alban’s, NL, Cornelius Walters of St. Catharines, Ont, Joshua (Ada) Walters of Halifax, NS, Mary (Ralph) Anderson of Cape Ray, NL; brothers and sisters-in-law Stella Hodder of St. Bernards, NL, Christine (Chris) Wilcock, Wayne Snook (Lydia Walsh) both of St. Alban’s, NL, Mary Snook of Port aux Basques, NL, Glenda Snook of Grand Falls, NL, Glen Snook of Vancouver, BC, Emma Walters of Isle aux Morts, NL and Clem Aucoin of Millville, NL; special friend Debbie Peters plus a large circle of nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 25th, 2018 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm continuing on Sunday, August 26th, 2018 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Holy Spirit Anglican Church in Isle aux Morts, NL from where the funeral service will be held on Monday, August 27th, 2018 at 2 pm officiated by The Rev. Jeffrey Petten with interment to follow at Hillside Haven Cemetery, Isle aux Morts Road. Flowers are graciously accepted or donations in Caroline’s memory can be made to the family.
