Baby Brennan Nathan

“If love could have saved you,
you would have lived forever.” Author unknown.
Brennan Nathan was born at
9:20 am on October 31st at the IWK Children’s Hospital in
Halifax, NS. Along with his parents, Tina and Nathan, his sisters,
Abby, Ellie and Jorja and Nini, Judy were there to greet him. All of
his family, friends and loved ones celebrated when they heard the news
of his arrival. Brennan was a beautiful 8 lb 2 oz baby boy with the
perfect amount of dark hair, full lips and the cutest little
nose.
Brennan loved to hear the
sounds of familiar voices, have stories read to him by his family
(especially his adoring sisters), have his soft head stroked and
kissed, his hand held and liked to snuggle with his teddy and bunny.
Even with all the medications to keep him comfortable, he would open
his eyes in response to a voice and would move when
touched.
Brennan was born with
inoperable congenital heart disease that was worse than expected. He
was born with a broken heart and as a result, all our hearts are
broken that he wasn’t able to stay with us on earth. Being
pregnant with Brennan was an answer to prayer and we will cherish
forever the memories of the pregnancy, the 21 days we were able to
experience with him on this earth and the all too few cuddles we had.
His feet have left a large imprint on this world and everyone who met
him. As a tissue donor, another child will be saved because of our
little man.
Brennan’s sisters
were able to cuddle with him for the first and last time the evening
of November 20th. Tearful good-byes were whispered to Brennan as he
passed away in the arms of his dad in the early morning hours of
November 21st with his mom at his side. He went from the arms of his
father on earth directly to the arms of his heavenly father where his
suffering is over and his body is now perfect on the inside and
out.
Brennan will be deeply
missed by his parents, Tina Manuel and Nathan Bubar of Hanwell, NB,
his sisters, Abby, Ellie and Jorja. Grandparents Dale and Judy Manuel
(Coldstream, NB), Greg and Nancy Bubar (Simonds, NB).
Great-grandparents, Katheryn Bubar (Woodstock, NB), Oliver and Heloise
Monteith (Newbridge, NB). Many uncles, aunts and
cousins.
Brennan was greeted in
heaven by his brother Gabe and his great-grandparents, Weldon Bubar,
Gerald and Doris Manuel, Fred and Iola Kenney.
Brennan’s family
would like to thank the congregations of the Faith Baptist,
Knowlesville Baptist and Mount Pleasant Baptist churches along with
the many other churches and the numerous individuals who prayed for
Brennan during his short life and offered help to our family in any
way. We would also like to thank Dr Kimberly Butt, Dr Erica Halloway
and the staff of the Fetal Assessment Clinic at the Dr Everett
Chalmer’s Hospital for their amazing care during my
pregnancy. Last but definitely not least, a huge thanks to the amazing
staff and physicians at the IWK especially the Pediatric Intensive
Care Unit and Labor and Delivery nurse, Lindy. We will remember your
kindness forever. Donations in memory of Brennan can be made to NB
Organ and Tissue Program or the IWK.
Matthew 19:14 Jesus said,
“Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for
the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these”.
“If tears could build a
stairway and memories a lane, I’d walk right up to heaven
and bring you home again.” Author unknown.
