In Loving Memory….
December 25, 2018, Bo Hyon Youn, age 86, died peacefully at Marianhill Nursing Home Palliative Care, in Pembroke, Ontario. Born March 5th 1932 in Seoul Korea, Bo graduated from Hanyang University in Chemical Engineering. He served in the South Korean army during the Korean War in the artillery and in the medical laboratory. In 1965 he went to work at Mulenberg Hospital in New Jersey, USA, before settling in Ottawa in 1968 to work at the General Hospital and later at the Montfort Hospital. Bo and his family have lived in Ottawa for 51 years, during which time he was actively involved with the Ottawa Korean Community Association, at one point serving as President. He also served as an Elder with the Korean Community Church. Bo is survived by his wife Kyung Ihl (Kay) of 57 years, daughters Jean (Marc) Robillard, Helen (Trace Cook), Ann (Jeff) Walker, and beloved grandchildren, Matthew and Caroline Robillard, Ethan and Emma Cook, and Jonah and Jackson Walker. Bo was a loving father, husband, grandfather, and friend to everyone.
