“Bill”‘s Obituary
In loving memory of Billy (Bill) Burns Manson, born in Orange County, California on December 30th, 1945. Bill was a brilliant mind whose failing heart suddenly took him from us on April 1st, 2018. Bill grew up body surfing the waves of Huntington Beach, proudly graduating from Westminster High School. After completing degrees at Rockford College and Drexel University, Bill became a librarian by trade and his insatiable quest for knowledge made him great at his work, and incredibly interesting as a person. Bill elected to follow his conscience to Canada during the Vietnam war, making Calgary his home. Bill’s career then took him to Kitchener / Waterloo, Ontario, Worcester, Massachusetts, and then back to Ontario , managing libraries in both Cornwall and Caledon, eventually retiring to Wheatley.
Bill was known for his contagious laughter and will be forever missed by his wife of 35 years Marcia Kennedy and children Glynnis (Alex), Erica, Sherrill, Lori (Jon), and Randall (Stacey). He will also be lovingly remembered by grandchildren Amber, Connor, Piper, Finn, Téharrah, Zayde, and Xarius; his brothers Darrel (Jane) and Brian (Susan) and their families. Bill was pre-deceased by his mother Eva Ernestine Manson (Day) and his father Burns Edison Manson.
Those who would desire to make donations in memory of Bill, please lend your support to your local Heart and Stroke Foundation (heartandstroke.ca) or the Alzheimer’s Society (alzheimer.ca).
Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Bill Manson December 30 1945 April 01 2018.source
