1960-2018
With broken hearts and profound sadness, we announce the
passing of Barbara “Barb” M. Kennedy who passed away
on Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born
in Saint John on July 30, 1960, she was a daughter of Dawn and the
late Alton Rideout.
Barb is survived by her loving husband of 37 years, Gerald
Kennedy; daughters: Michelle Urquhart and her husband Jason of Kars,
NB, Deborah Vail and her husband Gregory of Hatfield Point, NB, and
Laura Reicker and her husband Ryan of Hatfield Point, NB; cherished
granddaughter Alyssa Vail; mother Dawn Rideout (Douglas Walker);
sisters: Janice (Ab) Dugas, Leslie Stanley, Leah (Jim) Quinlan and
Katherine (James) Simonds; brothers: Malcolm (Janice) Rideout, Douglas
(Ruth) Rideout, Manford (Cindy) Rideout, Philip (Margaret) Rideout and
Julian (Joanne) Rideout; as well as many sisters-in-law,
brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and extended family.
Besides her father, Barb was predeceased by her brother Gregory
Rideout.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Sherwood’s
Funeral Home and Life Tribute Centre (506-839-2156), 18 Scovil Road,
Norton, NB. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 5, 2018 from 2
to 4 and 6 to 8PM from Outreach Pentecostal Church. The funeral
service will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at 11:00AM from
Outreach Pentecostal Church.
Donations in memory of Barb may be made to the memorial of
the donor’s choice. Personal condolences to the family and
donations may be made through SherwoodsFuneralHome.com
