Obituary Overview
HOW DO YOU SAY GOODBYE TO AUDREY?
To someone who has been your life-sharing and enriching partner for over 65 years. Whose encouragement, support and loving care have allowed you to succeed. Whose wisdom and mature guidance has provided for the enrichment and success of two loving children whose infections enthusiasm and incredible competitive spirit has brought out the best in others, from simple games to competitive sports. Whose personal success was always secondary to the success of others. Whose spirit of adventure and inquiry provided challenges for all of us. Whose, dare I say it, frugal practicality, magnificent eye for detail and exemplary open honesty will long be remembered.
Always in charge, she gratefully and graciously accepted assistance and guidance with a smile. Who would not let shortcomings impose any limitations on her own, or activities of others. Whose love of family, friends and neighbours gave her strength and commitment, as long as conversation, food and laughter were a part of it. Who, for as long as she is remembered by friends for fun and laughter; and by family for traditions and principles she fostered. We, the older generation can recognize the inculcation of her values and principles in children and grandchildren, with a love of life, that it is not necessary to say goodbye, she remains a part of us all!
As for me, it is only till we can be together again.
Love always, Donald.
Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Audrey Parkinson 2018..
