Deschene, Aline Beatrice (nee Gauvin) – Born Dec. 19, 1932 in Corbeil, Ontario. After a long courageous, brave battle with numerous health issues and struggles, supported by her family, she passed away on her own terms at the North Bay Regional Health Center on January 8, 2018.
She was the much loved wife of Edgar (1991) and loving mother of Patricia (Emilio), Cecile (John), Charles (Elizabeth), Louise (Robert), Alice (Gerry), Colette (Dalton). Also survived by 19 granddaughters, 1 grandson and 20 great grandchildren as well as a sister Marie-Rose (William Langlois). Predeceased by parents Antonio Gauvin and Ernestine Charette, sisters Cecile, Therese, Mignonne and brother David.
She was a member of Des Dames de St.Anne, Filles d’Isabelle and commite de sympathie all affliated with St.Vincent de Paul church. She volunteered in numerous organizations, Leisure World, Nipissing Manor and the French winter Carnival to name a few. Aline was recognized by the Province of Ontario for volunteering for over 50 years. She drove school buses for 25 years and was affectionately known as Ma by the students.
Aline was a loving role model to her family and everyone who knew her. She will be forever missed.

Family will be receiving friends Wednesday January 10th at HILLSIDE FUNERAL SERVICES, 362 Airport Road, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm. A funeral mass will be celebrated on January 11th at 11 am at St.Vincent-de-Paul church.
Donations can be made to the Nipissing Serenity Hospice or to the foundation of your choice.
