OBITUARY
Alden Joseph Vienneau
October 21, 1933 – October 19, 2018
Alden Joseph Vienneau passed away suddenly at the Claresholm General Hospital on Friday, October 19, 2018 at the age of 85 years.
Alden was born in Loggieville, NB, the youngest of 10 children of Louise Duguay and Telesphore Vienneau. At the age of 21 years Alden joined the Canadian Armed Forces and served 31 years as a Corporal and a Chef. Alden had a zest for life, a passion for food, dancing, fishing, camping, skiing and above all else treasured his family. In retirement, Alden settled in the Granum, Alberta area.
Alden will be sadly missed by his love of 20 years, Lucy Grant; children Timmy Vienneau (Calgary), Ray Vienneau (Coaldale, AB), Ruth Watmough (Yahk, BC), Denise and Paul Haddon (Calgary); sister Winnie Holmes (Toronto); extended family Bob (Anna) Peters (Claresholm), Bret (Annalisa) Peters (Grand Cayman), Jackie (Alden) Emro (Rocky View, AB), Sheri (John) Napper (Calgary); 14 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. He was predeceased by his son Steven Vienneau; eight brothers and sisters as well as his parents.
A Memorial Service will be held at The Royal Canadian Legion #286, 1107 – 33 Street, NE, Calgary on Monday, October 29, 2018 at 2:00 pm.
