Obituary for
Alastaire Mary Henderson
In Ottawa, peacefully on Sunday, July 15th, 2018, at the age of 70 after a courageous battle with cancer. Alastaire was a committed environmentalist, social justice advocate and cat lover who will be deeply missed by family and friends. Predeceased by her parents Eric Henderson and Evelyn (nee Leonard). Loving sister of Mark (Debbie), Jay (JoAnne) and Hildegarde. Cherished aunt of Erica (and son Ferguson), Avery, Valerie, Lana, and Christine. Friends are invited to visit at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod Street (at O’Connor) Ottawa, on Wednesday, July 18th from 7-9pm. Memorial Service to be held at the First Unitarian Congregation of Ottawa, 30 Cleary Avenue on Thursday, July 19th at 10am. Reception to follow. Memorial donations to Nature Conservancy of Canada. Special thanks to the staff at Park Place who worked diligently to ensure her last weeks and months were comfortable.
