Yvonne Mary Harper
1951-2016
At the Halifax Infirmary on Monday, November 14, 2016, with
her loving family by her side, of Yvonne Mary Harper, beloved wife of
Joseph Harper of Anglo-Tignish, aged 65 years. Born at
Alberton on April 23, 1951, she was the daughter of the late Basil and
Winnifred (nee Poirier) Doucette.
Loving mother to Shelly Gavin of Summerside, Scott Gavin of
Tignish, and Chris (Kristina) Harper of Tignish. Cherished grandmother
to Camren Gavin, Ella and Mary Jane Gavin, and Reid and Ryder
Harper.
Dear sister to Lorraine (late Edlow) Albert of Alberton,
Austin Doucette of St. Louis, Wanda Doucette of Alberton, Marie
Birtley of Ontario, and Velda (George) Gallant of St.
Louis.
She is also survived by sisters-in-law, Doreen (Roger)
Chaisson of Tignish, Jean (late Gerrard) Gaudet of Kinkora, Jeanette
(late James) Harper and Shirley (late Cletus) Harper of
Tignish.
She was predeceased by her siblings, Violet Doucette and
Alfred Doucette, and by her father and mother-in-law, Daniel and
Thelma (nee Gavin) Harper.
Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home, Alberton. Visiting hours
Thursday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Friday morning from the St.
Simon and St. Jude Church, Tignish for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m.,
Rev. Brendon Gallant, Celebrant. Interment in the Church
Cemetery.
