Bill O’Leary, age 66, of Lawrencetown, passed away on June 20, 2016 at the Queen Elizabeth II Halifax Infirmary site. Born in New Waterford, he was a son of the late Thomas and Theresa O’Leary. He will be missed by his loving wife, Mary Lynch; sons Shane (Joanne); Liam, both of Halifax; Timothy, Vancouver; brother, Brian (Ann), Calgary; mother-in-law, Vera Lynch, Antigonish; sisters-in-law Anne (Carl) , Corner Brook; Patricia (Frank), Toronto; brothers-in-law Michael (Coleen), Edmonton; Harry (Tina), Toronto; and several nieces and nephews. Bill was predeceased by his brother, Thomas; sisters Patricia White and Maureen Biggs. Bill spent most of his career as a school psychologist with the Halifax Regional School Board. He influenced the lives of many children and their families and made lasting friendships. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held Thursday, June 23, 2016 from 6-9 pm at Atlantic Funeral Home, 771 Main Street, Dartmouth. Donations may be made to the Nova Scotia SPCA, as Bill loved animals, especially his dog, Mitsi.
