Bill Gianoli passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at the Wascana Rehabilitation Centre at the age of 55. He was predeceased by his father Louis. Bill is survived by his mother Clorinda; brothers Gerry (Cheryl) and John (Ronalda); sister Mary (Bev); nieces and nephews Ryan (Kristie), Taylor, Kristen and Haley; as well as many other extended family and friends. Bill was born and raised in Regina. In his younger days he worked at the Saskabilities Centre, employment which he truly enjoyed. He became a resident of the Wascana Rehabilitation Centre in 1990 and quickly won over the staff and other residents with his warm and welcoming smile which he kept until his final days. Bill had an infectious sense of humour and enjoyed good natured teasing, giving as good as he got. He enjoyed board games, arts and crafts and playing cards. He also was quite the wheelchair bowler, winning his share of bowling league trophies. Bill’s family would like to extend their sincere thanks and appreciation to all the staff and volunteers of the Wascana Rehabilitation Centre for providing such a caring environment for Bill throughout his years there. At the family’s request, a private celebration of Bill’s life will be held at a later date. Bill will be missed and his smile will be forever remembered by all who knew him. Memorial donations in Bill’s name can be made to the Wascana Rehabilitation Center, 2180 – 23 Avenue, Regina, SK S4S 0A5. Arrangements entrusted to Regina Funeral Home (306) 789-8850.
